NBC renews Smash for a second season
Sorry Katharine McPhee haters, looks like the American Idol alum's got a steady TV gig for a little while longer. The Peacock network announced today that its musical drama, Smash, would be getting a much-coveted sophomore year in the 2012-2013 TV season.
With a second season confirmed, there's only one question to ask: Are you Team Karen or Team Ivy?

Worst show ever. When I think about all the good shows that NBC has cancelled, this announcement really makes me wonder who is in charge over there.

Best show ever! There is so little to watch on TV these days that I am thrilled to hear that this show will continue. I tape it so I can watch it a second time and enjoy the singing all over again!

I am glad. I hate getting into a show and then it being cancelled. Lets flesh things out....don't wait. Anjelica needs to have an affair with that bartender.

I Love this show! It's about time, great talent and no crime! Hope it's around for a long time!

Team Karen, but Ivy is amazing. Beats Jersey Shore that's for sure :)

I like it! I love both of these girls! So beautiful and talented. At first I thought Ivy was the "Bad" Girl, but now see that she is working hard in her industry.... A little bit of a snippit for sure, and innocent of not seeing the whole story.....Who Can? Anyway.... I just love it! Glad that an affair was shown to be the dirty dog that it is.... Hurting so many people.....Thanks for showing it that way. :) Personally not interested in the gay scene, but realize that there are all kinds of people out there and we are all hoping to have a good relationship with someone special in our lives.
Glad to see it is going on to a second season. I LOVE the music!

When it has to be plugged every week by the Voice, why would it get a second year. The show is boring and so is Katherine McPhee and her almost 50 year old husband.
